Celebrate Neurodiversity Through Identity, Reflection, and Self-Advocacy
Every learner deserves the opportunity to understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and feel confident sharing their story.
The NeuroStyles Project is a strengths-based identity project designed to help neurodivergent and differently-abled students explore who they are beyond a diagnosis. Through guided reflection, structured writing prompts, creative expression, and self-advocacy activities, participants develop a deeper understanding of their unique brain style while building confidence, communication skills, and self-awareness.
Rather than focusing on deficits, this project encourages students to recognize their strengths, acknowledge challenges with honesty, and celebrate the unique perspectives they bring to their classrooms, communities, and the world.
Perfect for autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, executive functioning support, SEL instruction, transition programs, and inclusive classrooms, this resource provides multiple ways for learners to express themselves in a format that feels authentic.
Whether students choose to write, present, create artwork, develop a digital presentation, or produce a multimedia project, every learner has the opportunity to share their voice in a meaningful and empowering way. The workbook includes educator guidance, participant directions, six structured reflection sections, sentence stems, and multiple presentation options to support a wide range of learning styles.
